Warrior Rig - Work in Progress
This is the first version of the warrior character Rig. I have named him " Bahadur"
His model was given to me by my instructor who is an animator and she wants him to be
capable of doing the following things:
1.Grab a weapon and have the option of anchoring it to the hand
2. Plant his feet, walk, run and jump.
3. Should be able to create dynamic poses using his spine.
4. Pose his fingers for different gestures
5. He should be able to drop the weapon and pick it up.
6. Rotate and twist the hand.
Bahadur contains an armor which makes him have both rigid and non rigid geometry.
The Rigid Parts of the Armor are- Chest plate , Shoulder Armor, The Waist Armor, The Knee Armor and Ankle Armor
The NonRigid Parts of the Armor are- the two belts around his waist plate, wrist armor and shin armor
The armor interacts with the body such that when he bends the chest armor slides in and out. The lower part of the waist armor slides in when he bends forward and when he bends back it slides up. This kind of interaction was necessary for preservation of volume so that the rigid parts have consistent volume.
The shoulder plates also slide with the outer plate sliding more than the inner one to facilitate
movement of the shoulder.
